30 Day Gyaru Challenge: Day 19

Hello and welcome to my blog :D Today's post will be about sharing my best tips!

  1. Start off by practising heavier make up and bigger droops before going lighter and find through your practise what suits your face better but also what is more fun for you :D

  2. If you don't have a very light lipstick, get a light concealer and apply to your lips! If you don't like matte results, add a clear lip gloss!

  3. For eyebrows, if you cannot bleach or dye them lighter, it is always best to have them trimmed, thin and arched than straight to give off the gyaru vibe.

  4. Hair can be any color, even black, if you have them styled good but lighter colors are best!

  5. Contact lenses are not essential but help with the look. If you do not have circle lenses, try to have bigger, bolder lashes and lower lashes! There is a tutorial on youtube!

  6. There is also a tutorial without lashes!

  7. You don't have to buy brand lashes to give the gyaru vibe, go to aliexpress, buy some spikey lashes and stack them with some other lashes (not fluffy feathery or criss cross lashes) to achieve the good look. You don't need to stack lower lashes xD

  8. Glasses CAN work in gyaru! There is a tutorial about this!

  9. Don't forget the aegyo sal! I like to make it glittery!

  10. You don't have to add white to fill in the droop because it looks costumey... try filling it with black (I usually do that), brown or a color closer to skin tone!

  11. Sometimes you will find wonders at the thrift store! Try to visit a thrift store before going to a fast fashion shop, shein or aliexpress to shop the latest trends or dupes! You might even find some brand if you are lucky!

  12. If you want to shop brand, go to mercari and use a shopping service! Second-hand market is your best bet!

  13. If you can't have long nails because of work or school, get some fake press on nails and wear them after that.

  14. Gyaru might be a lifestyle but make it suit you, not the other way around because you will get tired of that!

  15. Sometimes ebay might have some things but I have found out it is hit or miss!

  16. Research, research, research! Don't give your hard earned money on scalpers! Honestly, most gyaru brands from what I have heard were like fast fashion so they can't be worth more than 20smth euros secondhand. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule like Alba Rosa coats and D.I.A belts and generally D.I.A because of supply and demand.

  17. Don't buy most 90's shoes/platforms because they will fall apart and you will be sad you spent so much money on something so rare only for it to fall apart.

  18. Find inspiration first to find your style. There are tons of inspiration on pinterest and even facebook and instagram.

  19. Learn about the history of gyaru and the different substyles first. Try this playlist on youtube to learn more!

  20. Listen to the people that have been into gyaru a lot longer than you and you will improve in no time at all!

These are the tips that I have gathered in my research from various sources! I hope these help you! :D
